Portrait of Todd Bromberg

Every client deserves an advocate who sees the full context — and who has the grit to fight when it counts.

-Todd Bromberg

Bromberg Law was founded on the experience and perspective of an attorney who spent decades handling complex matters at a top national law firm. The firm is structured as a solo practice by design to ensure direct accountability, efficiency, and strategic focus. The practice is grounded in the belief that developing a trusted one-on-one relationship with a client—without reliance on teams of associates and support staff who frequently move between matters and firms—is the most effective way to provide exceptional legal and strategic counsel in a cost-effective manner.

At the same time, the firm is designed to readily scale up and draw upon a trusted group of attorneys and specialists when a matter requires additional resources or expertise. This approach allows the firm to remain lean and responsive while still delivering the depth and strategic strength that some matters require. That is why you will see “we” used throughout the site—it reflects the way we work with clients, with co-counsel, and with other professionals when their involvement adds value.

With over 30 years of experience in employment law, civil rights, and litigation, Todd has handled high-stakes workplace disputes nationwide, achieving multi-million-dollar settlements and awards. His focus has always been on developing strategies that deliver tangible results, ensuring clients receive the financial recoveries they deserve and a renewed sense of professional dignity.

Todd has represented clients in cases of discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination, helping them navigate complex workplace dynamics and make informed decisions that protect their careers and interests. This includes advocating for individuals before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and the Justice Department.

His experience overseeing scores of workplace investigations—from internal conflicts to high-stakes disputes—has provided invaluable insight into crafting proactive strategies. Todd also helps employees navigate difficult contract negotiations and separations, ensuring both economic and non-economic concerns are addressed to protect their professional interests.

In addition to his private practice experience, Todd has maintained a strong commitment to civil rights and access to justice. He led significant pro bono efforts focused on improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities, including a major class action involving public transportation access in the Washington, D.C. area. For this work, he received the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award from the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. He has also been involved in groundbreaking work such as the Jenny Hatch Project, advocating for the rights of individuals with intellectual disabilities and served as legal counsel during a fact-finding investigation into disability rights violations in Ukraine.

Before founding this practice, Todd spent more than two decades at Wiley Rein, a leading national law firm based in Washington, D.C., where he led the firm’s employment and labor group and served as the firm’s General Counsel. He is a graduate of Oberlin College with honors in Government and of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as Supervising Editor of the Cardozo Law Review. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New York, and Connecticut.

With deep knowledge of employment law and a passion for justice, Todd strives to bring both rigor and compassion to every case, ensuring that his clients are heard and their rights are protected.
